Managing Over 2.4 Million Square Feet of Property in East Texas

The Burns Commercial Real Estate Management Division currently provides management services to the owners of more than two million, four hundred square feet of retail, office, and industrial properties in the East Texas area.

This department consists of five experienced Property Managers, a four person accounting staff, two building engineers, three maintenance assistants, and two administrative personnel.

The Property Managers and the building engineers have extensive experience in East Texas, Houston, Dallas, and other markets providing management services for all types of income properties. The firm manages small retail and industrial buildings as well as multistory office buildings, including the largest office structure between Dallas and Shreveport, Louisiana. Each Property Manager handles a large portfolio of buildings for which monthly management reports are completed for review by the owners. Annual budgets are prepared for the property owners’ approval and are tracked through our accounting software which was developed specifically to address the unique needs inherent in property management.

The Accounting Department consists of the Operations Manager and three accounting staff members, bringing strong experience specific to commercial real estate accounting, attained in many larger markets, as well as in East Texas. The staff tracks leases, collects monthly rent, pays invoices and proudly provides one of the most detailed monthly accounting packages available in the industry to the property owners the company represents. The accounting reports combined with the monthly management and leasing reports the owners receive, enable the company’s clients to continually stay well informed on the status of their properties. Both Property Managers and the Accounting Department maintain close communication with our clients to achieve optimum success in the performance of the investments that they have entrusted to our care.
